The studio
Architecture & Design-Build, London. We design and build considered homes under a single point of responsibility.
One team, accountable from the first idea to the final detail.
Lanesborough Design & Build was established in August 2023 as the sister studio to Lanesborough Homes Limited — extending the group beyond land and homes into a complete architectural design-and-build service. It was founded on a single conviction: that the studio which designs a building should also be accountable for constructing it. The gap between architect and builder — where cost overruns, compromises and finger-pointing live — is the gap we set out to close.
We are a fully integrated design-and-build practice, backed by the experience of an established homebuilder. The same people who detail your home are accountable for delivering it — one studio, one contract, one standard of care.
“Detail is not decoration. It is the place where care becomes visible.” Eleanor Hargreaves — Founding Director
Four reasons clients design and build with us.
One studio, design → build
Design and construction under one roof. The hands that draw the detail are accountable for building it.
Single point of responsibility
One contract, one team, one number to call. No gap between architect and contractor for risk to hide in.
Considered, sustainable detailing
Low-energy fabric and materials chosen to age with grace, not date.
On time, on budget
Cost certainty from day one — the budget is fixed early and protected throughout, by the same team that draws and builds.
